Evolve

Evolve activities are included in the modules in this course to assist you in transitioning to a reflective professional nurse. Thoughtful reflection requires that you take a minute and examine your own responses and actions to an activity or situation.  Through this analysis, you gain insights into yourself and your learning. This reflection improves the quality of care that you can apply in other clinical situations. Your grade will be based on evidence that you thoughtfully reflected and completed the activity. This Evolve activity is slightly different, in that your reflection is a video submission.
This assignment is related to the following associated Student Learning Outcome (SLO) aligned with End of Program Student Learning Outcome (EPSLO):
SLO #2: Interpret functional health, developmental stages, and illness management to make appropriate nursing judgments for patients with sensory-perceptual disturbances, chronic illness, and end-of-life needs. (Nursing Judgment)
EPSLO #2: Apply the nursing process to make nursing judgments, substantiated with evidence to provide safe, quality patient care across the lifespan.
Address each prompt in your response:
Record a 2-minute video of yourself discussing your achievement of SLO #2 and EPSLO #2 for this course. Your grade is based on the video.
Based on what you have learned, select one of the categories below and explain how you would apply the clinical judgment model in the care of a patient:
sensory-perceptual disturbances (pain/hearing or visual disturbance)
chronic illness
end-of-life needs
