This is a creative project (podcast, video, presentation, etc.) done individually or in small groups, or a 2,500-word paper done individually. Students will answer the following questions related to faith, hope, and love, with reference to their broader calling and career. If you’re writing an essay, please write 500 words in response to each question. If you’re doing a creative project, I will be looking for a roughly equivalent amount of planning and content.
1. Explain the Christian doctrine of the Trinity or Creation as expressed in Scripture and the ecumenical creeds. Why does it matter for the average Christian?
2. What do prayer, Scripture, and the sacraments have to do with hope? What role do they play in your own faith?
3.What is the meaning of life? What do Christians say constitutes a good life? What is the place of love and desire in this vision?
4.What influence might Christian faith, hope, and love have in your selected field of study/potential professional community?
5.Thinking about the theological virtues, what is the relationship between Christian worldview and character?
