This is the topic I have chosen: Cultural studies of madness: Madness narratives are often included in storytelling for the purposes of driving the plot. Rarely do stories depict multifaceted mad characters. Choose an example of a story (e.g. a novel, play, film, TV series) that incorporates madness or mad characters. How, and to what end, is madness included? Is it to make an ethical standpoint about historical trauma or violence? Demonstrate monstrosity? Provide comedic relief? What does this reveal or conceal about Mad people’s experiences?
