Candidates should include, in the information comparing and contrasting SDAIE and ELD, the following:
Purpose, content focus, the language of instruction, language proficiency levels, commonalities and differences for each approach.
At least three different research-based strategies/practices for each approach (six strategies total) and a discussion of why/how these strategies are effective.
A critical reflection about SDAIE and ELD including possible advantages and/or disadvantages.
Recommendations for schools implementing either or both approaches in their schools.
A minimum of 5 academic/scholarly articles. Make sure to use either Google ScholarLinks to an external site. or the PO library database (or any other university’s library database) to locate credible and reliable articlesLinks to an external site.. 
A reference list and liberally include in-text citations throughout the paper.

To meet exemplary requirements, your response should:
Your abstract should clearly and concisely state the paper’s purpose in a single sentence that is engaging and thought-provoking.
Your introduction must be engaging, state the main topic, and preview the structure of the paper.
Each paragraph must have thoughtful supporting detail sentences developing the main idea.
You must demonstrate logical and subtle sequencing of ideas through well-developed academic paragraphs. 
You must use transitions between sentences and paragraphs to enhance the organization.
Your conclusion must be engaging and restate the Abstract.
You must have no errors in punctuation, capitalization, grammar, and spelling.
You must have no errors in sentence structure and word usage – use an academic tone avoiding vague terms, colloquial phrases, and informal word choices.
All cited works, both text and visual, must be done in the correct APA 7th format with no errors.
Completed in the correct APA 7th, Edition format with no errors.
You must include more than five major references (credible, reliable, and dated within the past five years).
