The notes I took about each dance
First- all
Second- duo
Third- red stage/ mad, coats thrown off at end dramatically and fall to ground Fourth- Hawaiian one person, worship dance and song mainly on knees (has lyrics) didn’t really u defy and at first but at the end it sounded like Hawaiian music
Fifth- a story about hard work ms heartbreak about a mother struggling and upset about not being treated right but is still trying to make it through life and do the right thing, after the story the mood changes the stage turns red and the dancers seem angry the music is intense, the mother lets the grief get the best of her Sixth- (Bali group) Cronus was to be betrayed by his child so he ate the child when it was born his mother was determined to have Zeus and protect him so she, the stage has columns.
(Indian dancers) colorful costumes music is loud and energetic mixing cultural dances with music from todays time, the three main dancers are supposed to represent one pong from the trident, after each long does there dance they put a point on the trident Cronus steals the second piece from positron before the second child (positron) could put the point on. Cronus and his dancers are depicted to look scary, Zeus puts his piece on so posideon is the only one missing, posideon steals it back and put it on the trident. seventh- three girls come out one main girl in the beginning (blue background chill vibey music) as music intensifies the dances get more intense and the stage color changes to orange, feels scandalous (lyrics are feel the music and that’s what it feels like the dancers are doing) clubbing vibes
Eighth- a solo, music is studdering that’s what it feels like the dancer is doing too, she is frustrated as the music goes on and gets smoother her dancing gets smoother and more free flowing as well
Ninth- all are on stage, blue grey and red outfits with gold shorts, the twinkling music and hands straight above there head with pointed toes reminds me of a star, running in circles makes me think of planets revolving around one another as the music intensified and they run past one another of think of planets colliding Tenth- all company members- a happy ending
“tongue tied” started playing, outfits were bright and colorful, dancing was fast and fun, the mood changes when the girls heart ages towards the man in her life
