Select one company of interest (NTUC FairPrice), and then using the tools, methods and frameworks taught and/or contained in the reference books, analyse the Service Operations in that company and argue for what made that specific company survive and thrive. It is strongly discouraged to use tools unrelated to Service Operations Management/other topics such as Porter’s five forces, SWOT, PESTLE analysis etc.
You are also asked to provide recommendations for improvement of the operations of these company/sectors if another pandemic – or turbulence of similar effect, hit us in the next decade.
Your assignment needs to have a business report format, so having an executive summary, an introduction, main body and conclusions/limitations, and read and look like an Economist/FT/Business Week/etc article (example https://www.economist.com/sites/default/files/econbriefs.pdf) 4000 words, NO NEED for REFERENCE PAGE JUST LIKE A REPORT – BUT GIVE IN-TEXT CITATION OR FOOTNOTE WHEREVER NECESSARY.
