Now that you are familiar with the topics and guidelines for the paper and have an idea about the elements of literary analysis essays and an approach to begin thinking about them, let’s get into how to find research articles for literary analysis papers:

Take some time now to look back at the topics and guidelines for Essay 1 and search the databases to find articles that you might be able to cite in your paper. To access the MDC library databases:

Click on that link
Search for articles in the Literature Resources from Gale, the Literary Reference Center Plus, and the JSTOR databases.
NOTE: If at any point during this process, you are asked to log in, use your MDC log-in and password credentials (the same ones you use to log in to Canvas).
Skim through the articles given to you in your search. Decide on at least two articles that you will be able to use to support the points in your paper.
Read the articles carefully, highlighting, annotating, and taking notes.
Once you have decided on two good articles that you can use and cite in your paper, submit the article links (if they come from the Web) or the downloaded article to DropBox A-01: Two Articles for Literary Analysis.
