Please review the Powerpoint called 2024W1-2: Legal Analysis Exercise–Mascots.
Your Project Team has been asked to help research, prepare, and evaluate the Mascot Approval applications for Scottsdale College, Mississippi Valley State, and Dartmouth under 2024 USC § 6403. To this end, you must do the following:
(a) read the information that each university provides (on the following slides),
(b) based on this information, write out the specific factual assertions that each university could make for each element of the statute,
(c) list what sorts of evidence—documentary or testimonial—that could be offered to support the assertions for each element.
(d) watch out for the tricky real-life problem–that is, identify if investigation is needed because the information the university provided has gaps and does not allow you to make specific factual assertions for any elements.
(e) make an objective assessment of whether or not you think each university is likely to have its mascot approved or rejected and briefly explain why.
Please provide this analysis for each of the following schools: Scottsdale Community College “Fighting Artichokes,” Mississippi Valley State “Delta Devils & Devilettes,” and Dartmouth University “Kerry the Keg. Follow the format used in the powerpoint for the analysis of the West Virginia University “Mountaineer.”
