What is “early medieval modern”? I am already concerned that this was not edited

What is “early medieval modern”? I am already concerned that this was not edited. We are in the early modern period, NOT medieval and certainly not early medieval. “elimination and examination”? In that order? Use men and women. Male and female are adjectives, not nouns, except in scientific writing about animals.
I believe we talked explicitly about how “this paper explores” (here, “Will dive into”) is not a thesis. Tell the reader the paper’s conclusions. I understand you might not know that when you write your first draft, but after you have written the paper, you have to rewrite your thesis to match the paper you wrote. And give a road map telling the reader what is coming.
First topic sentence: Women accused of Witchcraft in medieval Europe can be explained by a mixture of factors, which include myths and beliefs on religion, war, and social instability.

there is way too much going on here. First, are we back in medieval Europe? Second, is this short paragraph actually going to cover that whole mixture of factors? Please watch my video on topic sentences and paragraph organization.
Second topic sentence is better, but too long. A paragraph foused on Europe’s strict gender roles makes sense. Again you state “old Europe” and by now the reader has no idea what time period this paper covers. Also, don’t backdate 19th and 20th century assumptiosn for women into the past (homemaker?)
Third: There is not a “strong hatred of women” throughout the EM period and you need to avoid judging the past. There are misogynists, yes, but for most Europeans, believing women have god-given roles does not equal hate. Everyone in EM Europe had a god-given role to fulfill, not just women. And what does “they were seen for their sexuality” mean?
Fourth: women’s, not womens. Most women were not midwives, communities generally only had one or two. While many women were knowledgeable with herbs and local medical practices, so were many men. Don’t backdate modern assumptions about women into the past.
Fifth: why does this paper keep going back and forth between medieval and early modern? Do you think they are the same? This topic sentence reads like two sentences. Is this about the witch concept or women sleeping with the devil? I find it interesting you are presenting it as women using their sexuality, when it is usually seen as Satan seducing women.
Sixth: “us” in the sentence. Vague sentence. Be specific about the sentence’s main point.
these are instructions from my profesor given to me to fix. i included the book and this is the original assignment: How does gender play a role in the arrest and conviction of witches throughout early modern Europe? 80% of accused witches were women, so gender obviously matters, but enough men were also convicted that we cannot make a simple woman=witch connection. Explain how contemporary ideas of gender made women particularly susceptible to becoming (accused) witches. Use a combination of trial records and early modern (post-1500) thinkers (such as sources 72, 74, and 76) to make your argument, at least three. Look over the past several weeks of the course.
