For this assignment, you will assume the role of a consultant who has been hired to carry out an assessment on an urban disaster of your choosing and produce a lessons-learned document to guide future rounds of policy- and decision-making by the relevant authorities. The following elements should be included: Title: Executive Summary (~150 words) Introduction (should include: background to disaster and location, summary of response, explanation and justification for the importance of recognising vulnerability and building resilience, preparedness and adaptive capacity into the urban environment) (~700 words) Identification of tools/approaches used (~300 words) Findings, lessons learned, and recommendations (~ 850 words) References Reports should be no more than 2,000 words in length, 12-point Times New Roman/Arial font, with 2.54 cm margins on all sides and line spacing of at least 1.5.
