Instructions are below. However, I have chosen my topic and it will be the problem of elections not being integral. The solution should be things such as every state has the same laws for it, requiring photo ID, verifying that the mail in ballots are not being sent to people who have moved or passed away by checking with other government agencies (social security), etc.
Choose a problem.  Describe/define/explain the problem, and examine the causes and effects of the problem.  State your solution and justify it with reasons and evidence. Explain the problem as clearly as possible for your audience, and propose a solution. The final draft of your research paper should follow the five+ paragraph format, be typed/printed/stapled/double spaced, 2000+ words in length, be written in the assigned rhetorical strategy, and include an outline, an underlined thesis statement, quotes/evidence/details from five or more sources (only one may be from the Internet), MLA in-text citations, an MLA Works Cited page, and a word count.
Select a problem that you believe needs a solution.
Narrow and focus the problem and choose an appropriate audience.
Describe/define/explain the problem, and examine the causes and effects of the problem. If necessary, demonstrate for your audience why it needs a solution.
State your solution and justify it with reasons and evidence.
Where appropriate, weigh alternative solutions.
Then, examine the feasibility of your own solution, and answer objections to your solution.
Potential Problem/Solution Outlines – remember the Roman numerals may or may not represent paragraphs.   They may indicate sections of your paper.
