You need to focus on SUGAR and use it as a window to explain how the exchange of people, ideas, and commodities between North America and other parts of the world shaped culture, society, politics, or economy of early America between 1596 and 1877. You should find 3 to 5 visual objects from museums’ online collections to help you make the argument. You will use either Google Slides or Powerpoint to create a digital museum exhibit. You will need to include a short description for each of the objects and reference at least two secondary sources. As much as possible, work to craft a “story” with your exhibit, highlighting changes over time or space. 
Project breakdown:
Preliminary Assignment 20%
In the first paragraph, you need to describe sugar and clearly articulate your argument. 
In the second paragraph, you need to provide the two secondary sources you plan to incorporate in the presentation and explain why they are significant to the project.
In the third paragraph, please briefly talk about your timeline of completing the project and envisage any possible challenges you may need to overcome. 
Story Map 40%
You should feature 3-5 objects in your exhibit. 
Each object contextualizes with 3-4 sentence summaries explaining the 5 Ws (who, what, where, when, why)
Introductory exhibit slide should state your argument clearly
Personal Reflection 15%
In this two-paragraph self reflection, you will talk about your role and contribution in this whole project. Also, you need to talk about the things that you have learned from doing this project and areas where you want to improve. Due on April 29 on Canvas.
