Use Jstor or America, History & Life data bases. These sites ONLY have sources that are appropriate.
Document the paper by using Chicago Manual of Style. When you use Chicago then endnote or footnotes are both ok. Information about these styles is available from internet sites, the APSU library, your APSU 1000 books or any number of guides from the library or for purchase. When there are writing workshops conducted on campus I will make the announcement.
When in doubt then cite your source. Always cite direct quotes or specific information that is not general knowledge.
