Submission guidelines:
If your project is text-only, you should submit it via the turnitin.com link in our Brightspace Week 6 widget, under the Monday, July 8, assignment. If your creative project is video or mixed-media, you should upload it to an appropriate platform (youtube, google docs, canva, etc.) and send an invite link to my .jjay email.
Additional info, prompted by someone’s question on our Discussion Board: as I explained on the syllabus and via Video #8, this is a creative project–NOT a formal essay. So, there are no specific formatting guidelines except ones that work best for your subject matter, style of persuasion, and structure.
One caveat though: if you used ANY outside resources to create your “Dear Reader”/”Dear Viewer” assignment, you need to give credit where credit is due! This means indicating in your project where website resources, internet papers, external ideas, other peoples’ words, etc. appear, and supplying a suitable bibliography at the end. If you have used outside resources, you should create a Works Cited list at the end of your project and you should use MLA or APA formatting to cite your sources. (If you created a video and it’s easier to email me your Works Cited list, that’s fine too.) This way you will give credit to other people’s work, and you will not fail the course for plagiarism.
