For your essay, please post a response below in which you share something new and interesting that you’ve learned about the census. In your essay, please relate what you’ve found to the role that the census plays in our country. An example, is to describe the difference between urban and metropolitan areas (as defined by the census). And once made clear what these are and why they matter to the Census Bureau, I would go a step further to give an example or two of actual urban or metropolitan areas and then speak to the importance (politically and economically) of a region being designated ‘urban’ or ‘metropolitan’. The key to my response is that I would use examples and provide links to my examples (this is referred to as evidence) to support the points that I make.
