5. Formative Assignment 1 – There are two parts to this written response this module. For the first half of the assignment, you need to write a one-page summary/overview of your understanding of both the P21 and the ISTE standards. Is this your first time seeing them? Why are these standards and the Missouri Learning Standards important for teachers? What role do they play in the classroom? What similarities and differences do you see between the two?
For the second half, reflect on the “Challenges and Opportunities,” your new understanding of the standards, and your personal experiences as a student. What have you experienced in the past that you think would be considered effective technology integration? What technology integration experiences have you had that you would consider “non-examples” of what instructors should do? This should be created in your professional Google account that you created this week. (E 4 hours and/or I 6 hours)
Assignment Format – Include both parts in one document.
Length of assignment: minimum 2 typed pages (double-spaced, 1” margins)
A reference list must be included, citations in APA format only. This includes a citation for the P21 and ISTE standards as well as any references to sources you used from this module.
Your assignment must be completed using a Google doc. Please submit a separate doc with a link to the Google doc; be sure you have the correct permissions set so anybody with the link can view your work.
