Hi. I need to present a proposal of my bachelor thesis and its primary sources. I am writing my bachelor thesis in the field of literary studies. I want to look at the book by Dorothy B. Hughes “in a lonely place”, here is a very short summary: “In a Lonely Place” follows Dix Steele, a former pilot and serial killer in post-WWII Los Angeles. He pretends to be a writer and starts a relationship with Laurel Gray. His friend, police officer Brub Nicolai, and Brub’s wife Sylvia, grow suspicious. Steele is eventually caught after Laurel and Sylvia expose him. I want to make a connection between post war trauma and toxic masculinity in a post war society. Another book I want to mention is also by the same Author „ride the pink horse“ which has the same themes of post war violence.
