As a tea

Pleases respond to Cheyane. with 450. words. citations and references
As a teacher, I am constantly reflecting on practices and trying my best to make the necessary changes needed to help my students become successful individuals in the community. Through reflecting on practices in my classroom and trying new methods to improve student outcomes, I have found that I am actually actively researching daily. I am constantly looking to research to determine new strategies and practices to meet the specific needs of my students. For some students, I am trying to meet academic needs or fill academic learning gaps. For other students, I am working to meet behavioral needs. No matter the need, educators work daily to determine best practices to reach each student in the classroom. Overall, this course has taught me more about how to effectively research to meet the specific needs of students. I learned where to look and what to look for to determine best practices. Moreover, throughout this course, I truly learned how to research and focus research around specific needs of students to determine best practices.
Check and Schutt (2012) state that many educators are personally motivated to research to find answers that help to improve the lives of children, help to create more effective schools, and help to improve conditions for underprivileged children at school. Although many days are challenging, I love teaching, and I feel that I am called to be a teacher. I love working with students, celebrating their successes, and watching them grow. I often tell people that I learn so much more from my students than they will ever learn from me. Each student has a specific set of needs and a different walk of life, and together, we become a family in the classroom. In the future, I plan to stay in the classroom and utilize the research practices that I learned throughout this course to help me be the best teacher I can be for the students that I serve. Most importantly, I am thankful that the specialist program at Liberty University has also taught me more about how to be a Christian educator in the public school system. The Bible states, “For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ” (King James Bible, 1769/n.d., 1 Corinthians 3:11). As a teacher and a mom, I find that the world points in all directions when telling people how to teach or raise children; however, the Bible includes the foundation that we need to truly train up children for Christ, and I am so thankful that this class as well as the others throughout this program have taught me more about being a Christian educator working to meet the needs of others.
