philosophy of classroom management expresses the beliefs and principles that are

philosophy of classroom management expresses the beliefs and principles that are the foundation of classroom management decisions, including expectations, rules, and routines. A well thought out classroom management philosophy will ensure that classroom management decisions are cohesive as well as effective in creating a positive classroom environment.
Part 1: Classroom Management Philosophy
During the application and interview process, teacher candidates are frequently asked to explain their classroom management philosophy and how it influences their classroom management and pedagogical decisions.
In 100-150 words each, address the following prompts to explain what you believe about classroom management and how these philosophies apply to early childhood education:
Determining the reasons behind a child’s behavior as considerations for developing classroom management and behavior intervention strategies
Responding to a child’s behavior with compassion and care based on their needs in a manner that will avoid power struggles
Fostering a positive, culturally responsive environment that is sensitive to the unique backgrounds and challenges of children entering your classroom
How to prepare young children to exhibit classroom-ready behaviors, so they become self-disciplined and self-directed instead of relying on authority
Responding to the whole child and how understanding the whole child affects management approaches in the classroom setting
Support your responses with a minimum of 3-5 resources.
Part 2: Classroom Management Plan
Throughout this course, you have been completing assignments to create a classroom management plan. You will now compile each section of your plan into one cohesive document.
Select an age/grade level (preschool-Grade 3) to focus on and in 1,000-1,250 words, create a classroom management plan that would be appropriate for the selected age/grade. Your classroom management plan must reflect and allude to your classroom management philosophy. You may use previous assignments to help compile the information needed for each section. Include the following sections in your classroom management plan:
Classroom Management Models: Based on your research into classroom management models, explain the model or models that inform your classroom management plan.
Classroom Design: Describe the elements you will use to create an inclusive classroom layout that is developmentally appropriate for the age/grade you intend to teach.
Classroom Environment: Describe how you will create a safe and supportive classroom environment and ensure positive teacher/student interactions.
Collaboration with Learners and Colleagues: Explain the importance of collaborating with learners and colleagues to build a safe, positive, inclusive learning environment to foster a culture that encourages children’s early development through interventions and instruction.
Rules: Define 3-5 classroom rules that would foster a positive classroom environment.
Routines: Provide 2-3 classroom routines that support positive behavior and classroom transitions.
Behavioral Data Collection: Summarize how you plan to collect and monitor behavioral data in your classroom and how this will help maintain a positive classroom environment.
Behavioral Support and Interventions: Describe how you will use responsive interactions, interventions, and instruction across activities, routines, and environments to promote learning and development.
Your final classroom management plan should consist of the following sections (1,500-2,000 words):
Classroom Management Philosophy (500-750 words)
Classroom Management Models
Classroom Design
Classroom Environment
Collaboration with Learners and Colleagues
Rules
Routines
Behavioral Data Collection
Behavioral Support and Interventions
Include a title page, table of contents and reference page with at least 3 resources.
