For this Assessment,
you will answer a series of short answer questions to demonstrate your
understanding about Walden’s mission, vision, and values for learning, and this
relationship to your personal and professional goals and how they align with
your program of study. You also demonstrate your understanding of the
challenges you might face and overcoming these challenges in completing your
degree. Your commitment to social change will also be included as it relates to
your specific areas of interest in psychology as they align to your personal,
professional, and academic goals as well.
Professional Skills: Written Communication is assessed in this
Competency. To make certain you are addressing all aspects of the Professional
Skill, please review the Rubric to determine what is necessary for meeting the
requirements. Visit the Professional Skills resources, as needed.
Instructions
Before submitting
your Assessment, carefully review the rubric. This is the same rubric the
assessor will use to evaluate your submission and it provides detailed criteria
describing how to achieve or master the Competency. Many students find that
understanding the requirements of the Assessment and the rubric criteria help
them direct their focus and use their time most productively.

follow the conventions of scholarly writing. Properly formatted APA citations
and references must be provided where appropriate. Submissions that do not meet
these expectations will be returned without scoring.
This Assessment
requires submission of one (1) document: a completed Written Response Template.
