1. The topic is the growth of the American economy and the tension

Instructions:
1. The topic is the growth of the American economy and the tension between federal and state power over its direction. There are basically two camps here, one led by Alexander Hamilton and the other by Thomas Jefferson. Once camp favored a strong central government and diverse, robust economy. The other envisioned an agrarian-based economy in which the states held more power.
2. Summarize Revel 6.3.3 and describe Hamilton’s economic plans. What was his vision for American economic growth? Was his plan based in the Constitution?
3. How did Hamilton’s and Jefferson’s visions for the future of America differ? In your opinion, who ended up being correct?
4. Watch Revel Source 6.3, the “Bobbin Lace Border,” and answer the included questions. Be sure to also explain how this mill fit in with Hamilton’s vision for the American economy.
5. Read Revel Source 9.4, McCulloch vs Maryland, and answer the included questions.
6. Watch Revel Source 9.8 on the Erie Canal plates and answer the included questions. Be sure to explain how the canal fit in with Hamilton’s vision for the American economy.
7. Watch Revel Source 9.9 on the Shoemakers’ Tools and answer the included questions. Be sure to explain how the canal fit in with Hamilton’s vision for the American economy.
8. Compare Hamilton’s vision in section 6.6 with the McCulloch court case. What role does the federal government have in the economy? What role do the states serve?
9. Finally, find an article published anytime from January 2019 to the present about American Corporations (think Amazon, Google, Facebook). In at least one paragraph, address the following:
10.How much do they pay in taxes?
11. How do they treat their workers?
12.How have they modernized and used new techniques for better service?
13. What would Hamilton think of this large 1corporation? Does it fit his vision or have corporations become something beyond what he envisioned?
Wrap up the paper in one paragraph using your own words.
I only need the outline for this paper please, and it must be work cited.
