I am doing a research project answering the question if needing to use the bathroom is the leading cause of falls in our nursing home. I have uploaded what i had written.
INSTRUCTIONS
For this section of the proposal guide, you are presenting your research design and justifying your decisions. Within the submission, you need to identify both the approach you intend to employ (primary, secondary, or tertiary) as well as the study design (quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods). The intent with this section is to inform the reader about how you intend to go about addressing the research question(s) you identified.
You should also provide an overview of how you intend to execute the project. For example, if you are relying on existing data within your organization – talk about where the data ″lives″ and how you will go about using the data to answer the research questions. At this point, you are not discussing your data collection strategy (that is covered in the next section you′ll complete during module ten). This section is focusing on your research process/design specifically.
As you develop the content for this section, spend some time incorporating evidence/information from external references to support your decision-making. If you decide to do a secondary quantitative study design – why? Does this approach align with what you noticed from the literature review, or is there some other reason why you decided your approach is the best option? At a minimum, aim for three (3) references to support your perspectives.

Overall, your approach makes sense – using secondary data is a great decision for the capstone course, as this helps with reducing the amount of time needed to collect data. Within this section, there is a need to more clearly articulate the qualitative component of the study, as well as your processes for collecting the needed data.
You mentioned qualitative data would ″help determine the numbers for the quantitative data″. I don′t really understand what you mean by this – what you′ve outlined is a mixed methods approach (using both qualitative and quantitative data) – qualitative data would be anything that can′t be quantified, so what exactly are you intending to use (and what is the purpose of the qualitative data)? Is this meant to help understand the ″why″ behind the quantitative data?
Also – more detail is needed in describing how you will aggregate the data you need. Where is it stored? You′ll need to know this for the upcoming assignment due this week, which is where you′ll provide more insight/discussion into how you intend to obtain and prepare the data needed for the capstone.
Yes i did mean that the qualitative would give the why behind the numbers
