This activity aims to encourage active student involvement and engagement with radical arts practices
and events in the community. Choose an arts related event in the city or your neighborhood that is
taking place (in-person or virtually)that addresses some form of injustice locally or globally. Attend that
event and examine the content of the art work (ex: visual art exhibit, film screening, theater performance
etc) in relation to the course content and readings. Write a reflection (2 pages single spaced or 4 pages
double spaced) that first describes the art event, work, and then spend a bulk of the assignment using
course readings to offer a reflection analyzing the works you saw. A minimum of three readings from the
course should be cited in your reflection. This assignment will be evaluated for your application of course
material to the art event you attended and your discussion of the event in relation to the course content.
The works cited should be added at the end of your reflection.
