Overview
The purpose of this study is to provide
recommendations for solving the problem of low parental involvement in the
British School of Dhahran, International Schools Group. The problem is that 65%
of the parents of students at the British School of Dhahran International
School groups failed to meet the required parental involvement standards (ISG,
2023). This chapter presents the Interview Procedures, Survey Procedures, and
Questionnaire Procedures.
The
third approach used to collect data is a qualitative questionnaire. This open-ended questionnaire will allow the
participants to answer freely based on their opinions. This will help determine
how to provide recommendations for solving the problem of low parental
involvement in the British School of Dhahran, International Schools Group.
Data Collection and Analysis
This questionnaire will be given to 5 teachers in various grade levels that teach and are deeply involved with the
day-to-day operations in their classrooms, to acquire a more profound knowledge
of their experiences, views, and opinions regarding poor parental involvement.
This qualitative technique is aimed to supplement the insights developed from
the interviews and surveys, delivering a more nuanced and comprehensive
perspective. By engaging with open-ended questions, the study tries to capture
the diversity and richness of personal experiences and opinions, which are frequently
not fully exposed by structured methodologies. This technique is crucial in
offering significant insights that will contribute to answering the key
research question of the study and establishing successful measures to promote
parental participation.
