The result of your research will be a 4 to 5 minute presentation. This presentation will ask you to share your work with the Developmental Theory. This is an informative presentation and should be designed to teach the class. It should not be persuasive. You want to clearly identify your subject (e.g., communication between parents and children after a divorce, gender communication and single parents, adult sibling communication). You want to share your research explaining what your research has uncovered regarding your topic. You want to discuss a theory and/or communication practices that seem to be important in your research. You want to end your presentation with a question.
The final written component of your research project will be your outline. This outline needs to include 5 quality sources (at least 3 journal articles). The outline is what you will use when you are giving your final presentations (It must be typed). It should be straightforward and include a work cited page at the end of the document in APA or MLA
format. Remember, this is an informative project designed for you to share what you have discovered throughout your research project. You want to cite your sources orally when presenting.
