You will be reading about the Blue Zones of the world and listening to a great TED Talk on the subject. The question to ask yourself is: What are these people doing that living to 100 is common?
You will interview an elder using a quality-of-life (QOL) survey that focuses on physical and emotional well-being. Note the areas of concern you have when reviewing the survey. Think about the models of successful aging and the Blue Zones you have read about and listened to and about how they apply to your subject. With your participant, create three measurable short-term and three measurable long-term goals that would be beneficial in improving their quality of life.
After your interview, you will write a paper on your experience. Please refer to the QOL outline to help you. Also, use your APA resources to help you with your paper.
