Identify, define, and discuss the most important idea/topic/concept/theory you l

Identify, define, and discuss the most important idea/topic/concept/theory you learned as a result of this class. Further explain what you learned and why you regard it as the most important.  Recall, when basing your discussion on the ideas of others (which is the expectation), you will need the required in text citations and complete reference page at the end (see APA Manual 7th ed.).  Avoid quoting; paraphrase as necessary.  I am looking for your ideas as informed by the published scholarly literature and data on the matter, and not simply what someone else thinks.  Please include a title page.  APA 7th ed. formatting is REQUIRED.  Please name the file: yourlastnamefinal.doc.  Submit Microsoft Word Documents ONLY for GRADE CONSIDERATION!
According to the National Center for Victims of Crime (2012), victim impact statements provide victims an opportunity to express the impact the crime has had on their lives.  These statements may be used by a judge in determining sentences and/or by parole boards when making determinations regarding parole approval.  For this question you will discuss the nature and extent of victim impact statements, their purpose, use, and future implications.  Additionally, you will (1) conduct a search on, (2) locate and (3)analyze a victim impact statement.  Discuss the details of the case, the victim impact statement, the judge’s sentence, and whether or not you agree with sentence based on crime seriousness and victim impact. Include: Criminal (s) involved, victim(s) involved, crime committed, apparent impacts, and other relevant information to provide contextual support for your decision.
