Cover sheet with the title (Final Portfolio), your name, the class and semester (Spring 8 Week Session), and due date on 4 lines centered in the middle of the page. Use a formal looking font and reasonable font sizing (greater than 16 point, but small enough to fit information on a single line). No colored font. No highlighting. No borders. No underling or bold or italics.
Essay 1- Formal Cover Letter revision. Take the suggestions I made from your Essay 1 graded submission and make useful and necessary changes to improve upon it. These should be significant changes for improvement.
Essay 2- Compare/Contrast essay. Take the suggestions I made from your Essay 2 graded submission and make useful and necessary changes to improve upon it. These should be significant changes for improvement.
Essay 3- Argument. You may make improvements on this if you wish, though it is not necessary. You may choose to include the same submission from Week 6.
Essay 1 Reflection- Please write a 1 full page (minimum), double spaced reflection on your cover letter. Make sure to write 1 paragraph and do not use bullets or numbered answers. Address all of these questions in your reflection: What was your process like? Did you choose to use the Writing Lab? Why/why not and did it help? What persuasive techniques (logos, ethos, pathos) did you choose to use most and why? Do you think that this cover letter could be used in the future to help you apply for a job? When you revised this, what did you end up changing?
Essay 2 and 3 Reflection- Please write a 1 full page (minimum), double spaced reflection on your two formal, academic essays. Make sure to write 1 paragraph and do not use bullets or numbered answers. Address all of these questions in your reflection: What did you struggle with the most and why? What did you succeed in the most and why? How difficult was using MLA citations (in-text and on a works cited page) and why? What would you tell yourself about writing these essays if you were to go back in time 7 weeks? What writing advice was most helpful to you in this class? Did you choose to use the Writing Lab? Why/why not and did it help? What should you continue working on as you move ahead in college and writing classes (your weaknesses)?
