Persuasion involves trying to change someone’s attitude—and often his or her behavior as well.
Much of the persuasion we experience comes from outside forces. How do people convince others to change their attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors? What communications do you receive that attempt to persuade you to change your attitudes, beliefs, and behaviors?
Instructions:
An advertiser wants to sell a certain type of computer to college students.
What might be one central route of persuasion she could try? (List and describe).
What might be a peripheral route she could try? (List and describe).
How might she use dissonance to change consumers’ attitudes?
During this exercise, identify the four factors in persuasion: communicator, medium, target, and message.
Finally, assess how persuasive an advertisement is and what changes to make an advertisement more persuasive.
This paper must be a minimum of 2-pages.
This paper must follow APA format, including proper citation of sources and written in APA format.  Any sources you use must be noted within the paper.
