Each student selects the publicly-held company Tesla
Throughout the semester, they read The Wall Street Journal daily to find news directly related to Tesla or one of its competitors as well as news that will directly or indirectly affect the company and/or industry.
Students compile a portfolio of these articles
In this portfolio, they also include a “summary” sheet for each entry, listing the title, date and author of each article they’ve included as well as a brief, 2 to 3 sentence summary of the article, and an assessment of how the events reported impacted or could impact the company.
The total numbers of articles done should be 20.
At the end of the paper the student should pretend they own the stock and they should make a clear recommendation on whether they think they should buy more of the company’s stock or sell what they already own. Their recommendation is based on the news articles they have reported on all semester.
