The research paper is conceived as an original work by you exploring a particular topic or puzzle within the scholarly literature pertaining to human rights. The research project will proceed in two parts which each building upon the other.
Part 1: Part one of the research project will be a literature review of your research question/thesis. It should be a minimum of 5 pages and should consult a minimum of 10 academic sources.
Part 2: Part two of your research project will investigate the local, national and/or global conditions of your topic to support your thesis. This paper should cite global trends and regional patterns and might incorporate a variety of sources including academic literature, databases, policy briefs, news articles, etc. The objective of this paper is to gain an understanding of the breadth and diversity of your issue while defending your argument. This paper should be at least 5 – 7 pages long.
