Then analyze their work line by line and discuss what they mean. Then you have to write a summary paragraph of the overall argument they are making. Then write the assumptions necessary for understanding their argument or coming to the conclusions they came to. Then you have to research other people (philosophers) that have talked about this passage and see what they took from it. Discuss their view, your view, and what you think affected the view of the philosopher you chose.
