• A biographical sketch of your composer, including period, education, and important positions held.
• Historical events that took place during the composer’s life and how those events shaped the composer’s career.
• Why this composer is historically important-what this composer’s contribution to music was and whom he or she
influenced.
• Select one representative work by your composer and perform a critical analysis, including musical examples. MINIMUM 6 REQUIRED SOURCES
• 1 recording
• Musical score via IMSLP.org or interlibrary loan
• 1 journal article
• At least 1 interlibrary loan item
• 1 hard copy reference text from our library (if possible)
• No more than 2 websites (no wikipedia)
