PSY 2200 Reaction Paper (30 points)
DUE: Sunday, April 28 at 11:59 p.m. CST
Your assignment is to watch one or two TED talk videos and then write a 2-3 page reaction to
the video or videos. The paper is worth 30 points. You will need to upload your papers in MS
Word format to Canvas when you are finished. Emailed papers will not be accepted.
Directions:
Watch one or two of the approved videos listed on Page 2 of this document. You might want
to take some notes while you watch the video or videos.
2. Your paper needs to be 2-3 pages long. That means it needs to be a full 2 pages long. Do not
stop at the top or middle of page
Your paper needs to be typed double-spaced in a 12-point
font with indented paragraphs and Standard English. If you report on two videos, then each video
review needs to be at least one page long.
The purpose of this assignment is for you to give your opinion about the video or videos you
watch without citing any external sources. Papers that cite outside sources will lose points.
Introduce the video you watched. Include the title of the video and the name of the presenter.
Discuss what you watched. The questions below will help you organize your paper. Include a
short conclusion and state whether you would recommend the video. Structure your second
review the same way if you watched a second video.
______________________________________________________________________________
Here are some questions to help you organize and write your paper:
What is the main topic of the video?
How is the video related to the course?
 Think about whether what the presenter says is related to any of the topics we went over
in class.
Did the presenter provide any evidence to make their case?
 Think about whether the presenter presented any concrete evidence. Did they cite
studies? Was any of the evidence anecdotal?
Did the video increase your understanding of the topic? Did it change your perspective in any
way?
 Think about whether the talk may have answered any questions for you or if it actually
generated more questions.
What is your overall opinion of the video?
 How did the video make you feel? Did the video inspire you?
Did the presenter accomplish what they said they were going to talk about?
Finally, would you recommend the video to someone else?
 Think about why you would or wouldn’t recommend the video.
