PLEASE READ CAREFULLY – THIS REQUIRES WRITING A SCRIPT BASED OFF OF THE ATTACHED CASE STUDY AND INTERVENTION OF ACCEPTANCE AND COMMITMENT THERAPY (ACT).
Create a short scenario (10–15 minutes) that will demonstrate a specific aspect of the intervention approach with the identified client. You must write the script of your role-play and use this for the demonstration of the intervention. Begin by introducing the practice setting (e.g., school, hospital, etc.), stage in the intervention process, and goals of the session you will be role-playing.
After the role-play, briefly discuss the intervention approach that was demonstrated and why it was appropriate for this client (i.e., the rationale for its use with this client).
For this role play, the social worker will orient the client to Acceptance and Commitment therapy. Think about informed consent here, and act as if you are an ACT therapist and you want to give the client an idea of what to expect in your time together. You might want to explain to the client some of the key concepts in ACT, such as acceptance and mindfulness.

-The text book for the class – ACT is explained on pages 519 – 527.
-The Case Study that has all of the information that the role-play script and intervention (ACT) needs to be based on.
