In this part of the assignment, you are tasked with creating your own Ecological Systems Wheel, which visually represents the various systems in Bronfenbrenner’s theory using yourself or another person that you know very well. You may use the FigJam Template to create your diagram.Links to an external site.
You can choose to draw the wheel on paper, create a digital version, or even build a physical model.
Part 2: Reflect and Explain
In a written reflection, explain your Ecological Systems Wheel and the choices you made in its design. You should also reflect on the importance of understanding these systems in the context of human development.
Grading Criteria
The design should include the following components:
A central circle representing the individual (microsystem).
Surrounding circles or segments representing the mesosystem, exosystem, macrosystem, and chronosystem. Label all aspects in your life that affected your development (or the development of the person you know well).
Arrows or connectors showing the relationships and interactions between these systems.
Labels and brief descriptions for each system to explain its role and influence.
You should include specific examples from your own lives or hypothetical scenarios to illustrate the concept of ecological systems. For instance, you can draw connections between your family (microsystem) and school (mesosystem) or between cultural influences (macrosystem) and historical events (chronosystem).
