Bronfenbrenner’s Ecological approach. Choose an age covered in this course (infancy through adolescence), and then
choose at least three levels of his approach (individual,
microsystem, mesosystem, exosystem, macrosystem, chronosystem), to explain and
connect to a particular source of influence from each level. For
instance, if I choose late childhood, I might talk about
the mesosystem,
and how teacher and parent communication positively affects
children’s development both in school and at home. (Theory originally described
in chapter one, any other chapter can be used to for the sources of
influences!). Please use course content to both explain the levels AND the
sources of influence. 4-5 pages
