The purpose of this assignment is to review your favorite lyrics (poem) to a song and both explicate and analyze it. To explicate a poem it to interpret it line-by- line as you move through the poem. Analysis consists of explaining the meaning of the poem in its entirety.
Assignment:
Take your favorite lyrics and explicate and analyze them. It is suggested that you make two columns, one with the words to the lyrics and the other your interpretation of them. Under your explication, you can write a quick analysis of the lyrics.
