Each student will prepare a report (5 to 10 pages) on how a single business or company is adjusting its business model to address issues of sustainability. You should evaluate the organizations sustainability goals and initiatives. These goals and initiatives may be included in the organizations mission statement or they may be stated on their web site. You should use the section of the textbook, Introduction to Global Sustainable Management by Combe, that starts on page 76 ( Sustainability Strategy: Evaluation) and discusses the evaluation of sustainable strategy as a guide. Your paper and presentation should include:
A brief description of the company and what it does, including a brief outline of its history.
A description of its sustainability goals and initiatives, if available.
What actions the organization has taken to either limit its environmental impact (carbon footprint, environmental footprint) or improve its sustainability profile.
Has the company introduced any new products or business practices? Combed scribes this as, “…innovate and produce the next generation of sustainability solutions for supply chains, waste management, resource usage and production efficiency” and “developing a range of new sustainable products or services”.
Is this organization meeting the ESG reporting standards or SEC Reporting rules?
How have these actions impacted the organizations bottom line, if that information is available, or reputation?
