Each student will deliver a final paper, 6 page double spaced, detailing a hypothetical plan for developing a career in any of the creative industries. You may think of this as a short (1-3 years), mid (3-5 years), and long (5-10 years) plan. This is more of a visioning exercise than a fully executable plan. The idea is for you to use the lessons learned in the class along with the career possibilities and opportunities shared by our guests in order to conceive or “vision out” your ideal career outcome – as well as your initial plans for how you are going to get there. Dream big – be practical. Put your head in the clouds, but keep your feet on the ground.
Also required for this class is the final paper: 6 pages, double spaced, 12 point font, detailing a term career plan.
