As a part of this course, you will complete a Group Proposal and present it to the class. In this 5-7 minute maximum slide presentation, you will describe a group that you would like to create and run. The presentation must address the following topics:
The specific population
Number of people and length of time/meetings
Open or closed
Informed consent information
Goals
Counseling theories and techniques used
Recruitment
Ethical considerations
Evaluation procedures
Cost
Personal philosophy
Research supporting the creation of such a group
Presentations are scheduled to happen on 4/22 and 4/29. The professor will assign your presentation date.
Please submit your PowerPoint before end of day 4/21.
